Sometimes it seems that there are so many projects I want to work on, I will just explode if I can't get to them right this second! There are so many sweaters, so many knee-high socks, so many design ideas floating around in my head, and not nearly enough time to do them all. Luckily, one item in the project queue is a baby item -- the adorable placket-neck pullover from Last Minute Knitted Gifts. Projects for babies go so quickly! They can be started and checked off the list in no time.
I'm using Louet Gems Opal in Shamrock. It is lovely to work with and is machine-washable, which is great for a baby garment. The pattern called for 24" US7 circs, but that's just way too long for a baby sweater that is supposed to end up being 18" accross the chest. So I'm using 16" circulars, and it's working perfectly. I'm making this little sweater for my best friend from high school, who will be having a boy in September. I also want to make the little guy some Giants-colored booties and a little baseball tee-like sweater with raglan sleeves and body in contrasting colors. But...when???
