A Le Slouch for my sister-in-law...it was finished almost as quickly as it was begun!
Pattern: Le Slouch by Wendy Bernard
Yarn: Artfibers Kyoto, roughly 200 yards of the golden brown color
Needles: US 9 and US 10 dpns
Start to Finish: October 26, 2007 (thank you flight delay!)
Modifications: Nihil.
Notes: I didn't expect the decreases to be quite so defined, but it seems that most other Les Slouches out there are about the same. It also looks kinda cool.
I loooooove how the yarn looks in seed stitch. The shininess pokes out on the purled stitches, and it's all drapey and soft. This pattern was a lot of fun to make, and I love how hilarious Wendy Bernard is (e.g. she suggests how to make the hat slouchier, should you want to carry a baguette or brie in it).
I kind of want to make one for myself now, but, in the spirit of devoting ones self to one thing only in the month of November (as in NaNoWriMo, NaKniSweMo, NaBloPoMo, etc.), I will only be knitting for others this month (NaKniOthMo?). The only exception is that yesterday I finished my Fad Classic-ish vest, but that was only really knitting during Grey's Anatomy.
