Holy cow, you guys! Thank you, thank you, thank you for all of your congratulations and kind words. It has been so nice "meeting" all you lurkers who came out and introduced yourselves - who knew there were so many of you out there?! I plan to sit down this weekend and respond individually to those of you whose email addresses Blogger will show me, but for now: thank you!! And there are still a few days left to throw your name in for Sunday's drawing, so to those who haven't already - get commenting!
So, on to business. It has come to my attention (thank you, Brenda!) that the length of the Candlestick Baby Sweater is entirely too long. I did some investigating and immediately realized that I had mixed up some measurements that resulted in a body that was about 0.5-1" too long in the smaller sizes and, well, a lot in the larger sizes. The measurement should be 6.75 (7.75, 8.5, 9, 9.75, 10.25)” from the turning ridge to the underarm. I've corrected the pattern and uploaded a new version, which is available on Ravelry here (or here if you don't have a Ravelry account).
I am so sorry for this mistake!

I don't know how I missed this one the first time around, but thanks to the discovery of an error, it's headed straight for my queue! Very cute!
Still, a fabulous pattern--and actually I like to knit my baby sweaters long. It stops those pesky "bares" as my dear mother-in-law used to call exposed and chilly baby tummies!
Thanks for reminding me about this---it's your OTHER sweater that should be at the top of my list.
I took out the hem last night and I'm finishing it today! I loved this pattern. It's just too adorable.
Is there any way to explain about the armholes going to scrap yarn ant better? I knit it the way it says to twice and it is not coming out correctly. Thanks! Sheila24rn@yahoo.com
