If you happen to be in or around the Bay Area for the Interweave Knitting Lab this weekend, be sure to drop by Nine Rubies yarn shop in San Mateo on Saturday (the 3rd) from 6-8pm. They're hosting another Local Designers Night (which was a ton of fun last year) and I'm honored to have been asked to take part again. Also, it was a very exciting time for the Callis household over the weekend when our San Francisco Giants won their second World Series in three years. This lifelong Giants fan didn't think it was possible and, heck, after 2010 I figured I'd be happy if they simply won another one some time in Daniel's lifetime (like, when he was 30). It came down to some good teamwork, great pitching, and excellent managing.

I love this team.
